Our Mayor Eric Garcetti tells the THR and hopes to fill the film czar position during his 1st hundred days and will try and push lawmakers in Sacramento to increase tax incentives for filming locally. 85% of  T.V show's were filmed in L.A. about a few years ago, now that percentage has dropped to 40% Garcetti than thought this was an emergency to call a conference. I was living under a rock when this information was released, right now Garcetti is having a battle with some experts against this. Garcetti was in a meeting with the Entertainment media and he said "the meeting went great". I interviewed my Dad as he is a Caterer and he told me that he will be called more often then before and will be making more money, so this is pretty good actually. So will this affect everybody?

In other states before Garcetti decided to make this happen, other states would give movie companies 40% of their money back for using their set, or so I heard. This might help us a little I'm right behind Garcetti on this and not only that it will bring more movie stars and such to L.A. and we get to see them film T.V. shows, Movies, commercials, and other stuff in certain locations. This is a great impact on both Entertainment and businesses, hopefully we get some upcoming movies to film around the  L.A. area. Garcetti's most recent activity for this was him in Hollywood making announcements about it and the audience applauding to it. Right now Garcetti is going to get Sacramento for higher state film tax incentives next year. Garcetti and his film czar may provide just enough improvement to make the difference between filming in the city or elsewhere.
